Gear Change Light

Hi there! It’s great to be apart of the forum. I’ve been a forum lurker since I got my car in October of last year and decided to finally join, haha.

I have noticed two icons in the Rev counter element of the dashboard, and notice there are two gear change icons. One for upshift and the other for downshift.

Would I be right in assuming that they come on to tell you when to change gear, so you’re driving in the most fuel efficient gear for the speed you’re doing?

Just concerned as mine don’t come on at all. Is there a way to switch them on or have the bulbs gone?

I think the lights only come on if you are at the limits. So if you are in 2nd gear and pushing the limit were the revs are too high and you should of changed up to 3 the light will come on.
