I couldn't imagine you with your top on permanently Barbs, glad its sorted!

I've never looked at the mechanism while the roof has been cycling so I've no idea what the photo is showing me. I'll take a look, find out where it is and see how much gunk I've got. Thanks for the heads up and info.

I don't think so I work in a very dirty environment and we are doing all we can at work to sort the dirt.

There is a roof key.Get the dealer to provide one and yes glove compartment. If the roof does fail you can't open the boot. But as I said mine was an unusual situation. I didn't even know how to remove the Renault badge at the back. The point of the Forum is the problems you may never encounter but a good reference point to start from if you do.
An owner for nearly 5 years and still over the moon with my Wind.
