Speakers Problem Empty Speakers Problem

Post by AlexanderLondon Sat 23 Apr 2022 - 13:53

Hi,
Had this problem since I bought the car in October last year.
I believe only the top left speaker works. If I set the balance/fader to the right, the top right speaker sounds very tinny, like suuuuper cheap earphones. Very quiet and metallic like.
When I set the balance/fader to the rear nothing happens, sounds gone. I’m pretty sure door speakers don’t work either.
Please help!
Thank you : )

Having the fader set to the rear will indeed give you no sound.. as there's no rear speakers. I guess the radio unit is a generic Renault unit used across numerous models.
It does sound as if your door speakers may be at fault.. although I wouldn't expect both to be faulty at the same time.. so suspect a wiring problem perhaps?

Aha I thought the same … read somewhere that there we speakers behind the seats but never seen any. Do you know how I would get to the wires?
