Found some clear blue silicon wrap... anyone know the rules on using a wrap on the headlamp cover?

Some years ago there was a trend to tint rear lamp clusters & that was tolerated by the police & MoT as long as the original red, & amber shone through.

Unfortunately; on my first attempt at the job; I overdid it on my daughters XR3I, making the lights almost invisible so I had to buy her another set of rear clusters & spray them more discretely.
