I have such good luck with my car until now - I guess it could not last  Embarassed

On Saturday, I absent-mindedly reversed my car mirror into a concrete pillar. In so doing, the left hand wing mirror was badly damaged and I scraped the side door of the car  Shocked

So I have a problem: where can I get a new left hand wing-mirror for a Renault Wind?

I suspect what ever car repair show I go to, it will be difficult to find one....

Did someone say once, maybe on the old forum, that it's the same as a Twingo? Araf? Or am I imagining it?!

I think I did - as the chrome covers are the same for both cars.  The plate that fixes to the door is different though.

Look on the bright side, it's the RH mirror that contains the outside temp sensor.

I think the cover is intact, but thanks for the link anyway. The problem is that the whole mirror stem or base has sheared away. I am not sure what part to order - my worst fear is that if I order a mirror, the garage will not be able to fit it if it does not include the base. Here is a pictures so you can get some idea of what the damage looks like.....

Here you go then.  Be quick,as I guess they are more from Renault.

I doubt very much that the mechanicals within are available separately.

Araf, thank you for pointing this out to me. In the end, I purchased a new wing mirror for £211, as the ebay example has a different front from mine.

I have since had it fixed to my car, but the paint applied by the garage does not match the glossy finish of my Pearl black car. Perhaps this is some thing I can get done later, unless there is a Pearl black spray to buy on the market.

I am very pleased to have my wing mirror back - Thanks again for your help!

The cover is in primer.  You can unclip it, and have it painted.  The paint code should be on your chassis plate.
