Offside wing mirror
Last night a fine upstanding citizen decided to hit my wing mirror whilst I was parked outside my house. This morning I was greeted to the glass insert laying in the road, shattered and with the plastic moulding it is fixed to damaged. Fortunately the housing just folded back into place and the electrics are still working. Anticipating not being able to source a genuine replacement without having to sell my house, I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a compatible model from another car

Good morning Graham
Can't find a Haynes one for the Wind...but there are plenty of emanuals for the Wind on ebay...and some "hard copies" of workshop manuals available for under £20...one from Greece !!...for £14.99
Hope this helps

Re: Offside wing mirror
I have a copy of Renault's Dialogys manual which covers a number of Renault models. I think it was for dealers use only; not DIY customersI. I got it off the internet some years ago although I do suspect it's a pirated copy.
Much good detail re step by step instructions & parts listings; once you work out it's gallic search logic; but also a bit if a pain to use as it only runs on Windows XP so I have to run a virtual XP machine within my Windows 10 desk top computer to use it.

Bolt on extras
Hi thanks for the advice on repair manuals. As this car is for my 17 year old son. He is asking about bonnet bumps side skirts and the such. I explained that it looks good as it is. Any one had experience with this bolt on body work. Or where to obtain it. Thanks Graham

Re: Offside wing mirror
There really is very little in the market for the wind. You might be able to pick up a rear diffuser or chrome covers for the bumps on the boot from a company in France but they are expensive. As for body kit parts such as side skirts I don't think they are available.

Universal bonnet bumps can be bought but surely the Wind is already sufficiently "different".

Re: Offside wing mirror
Hi
I have just paid for this manual from the site and downloaded it but it won't play. There seems to be an issue with one of the compressed files. (Just in case anybody else was thinking of buying it). I have contacted the website, but no reply as yet.

Hi andy i bought this manual about 6 months ago and it worked fine. Either i was lucky or you are unlucky.

They just replied and I have now got it working. I had to rename all the compressed files, but there was no mention of this on the instructions. Thanks for letting me know.

Re: Offside wing mirror
Another thought re body mods. These should be advised to your insurer & can impact on cost of insurance which is probably pretty high already for a 17 yr old.Graham steers wrote:Hi thanks for the advice on repair manuals. I've given mine a rather more positive (NOT aggressive!) look at the front as you can see from my picture.
