Rattling roof
With the roof closed I get a nasty rattle which sounds as though it might be coming from the front above the windscreen.
Does anybody have any ideas as tovwhat it might be?

Yep, dido, its a common problem, but easily sorted as Barbs comment.
In fact you can use silicon grease to smear on the seals to prevent leaks when car gets older or gets leaks.
At the moment I use silicon oil which I use every six months on the seals, to keeps them in good condition.
Halfords do the silicon oil spray (around £4), but spray into can top and use a soaked rag to do the seals, otherwise you get your cabin and seats full of spray. Not good.

I keep 'RS components' part 494-124 tube of silicon grease (cost a fiver) in case of leaks, always ended up using it on all my previous convertibles, and eventually this one, he he. (smear it on by finger).

Re: Rattling roof
It works honest. It was because of this. I started using Forums. The garage told me 'It's just what you get with a convertible, we can try and fix it.... ' squirt of silicon and problem sorted. As Colin said ever 6 months I sneak over to the Worksop at work and borrow the spray.
