Windows auto up
Hi guys, I have a problem that it appears a few others have had. The other day my drivers side window went down as normal when I opened the door, but did not automatically go back up. It will go back up if you press the window up button, but the auto feature is not working. I've tried the up and down for 10-30 seconds idea, but it hasnt fixed it. Renault want to charge 79 quid just to look at it. Any suggestions

Re: Windows auto up
hello and welcome
the reset normally works. Have you followed the instructions on here?
have you tried opening the roof and closing it that might then reset it

Re: Windows auto up
I assume you tried the window reset with the door closed, not open?
It sounds like a sticky micro switch, which thinks one or other door handles has remained pulled. I would look for them, and make sure you can hear an audible click from them when making and breaking. I think the door handle assembly is a three figure sum, and there's no guarantee that it will fix the problem.
I have the opposite, the passenger window doesn't like dropping, when it's cold. I can usually get mine to drop by hitting the door lock button, with the door open. As the central locking makes it work, I wonder if the problem could be the alarm module, rather than the door lock?

In this icy weather you have to watch the window operation.
Before I open the door, I use a large deicer sprayed over the top and sides of window edge, before opening door.
If away from home, I use a pocket deicer that I carry with me.

I live where it's a lot warmer.

I'm in Kent, and there's a couple more from south of London that get on here.
There's still too many Northern Monkeys though.

And some even further North than the Northern Monkeys
If this was 'game of thrones', I would class myself as way beyond the ice wall
