Service Booked

My Wind now has 29k miles on the clock it isn't due for a service for another 8k miles.  I have decided to put it in for an interim Service, they have promised not to replace anything without speaking to me so it isn't that I am giving them a blank cheque.  Anything I should be asking them to look at?

With Renault?  If so, and they are any good, they will tell you what needs doing when they telephone.  If you just say "No thanks, but can you let me have a quote for that, when I pick the car up" then you know what their costs are, and can check with your tame mechanic for his prices.

No its not booked in with Renault it's a Guy round the corner from work that did my MOT.

I like to get mine checked every 4 - 6,000 miles, most garages will put your car through an mot style test for an hours labour.

In that case, I'm sure they will look after you.

Car back from the garage I am one Happy Bunny.

I've just ordered a couple of tyres, as the fronts are worn.  There's always something that needs doing.



£100 for the pair though.

They seem to last about 20k, as I buy a pair every 10k and put them on the back, transferring the rears to the front.

It's always the outer shoulder of the NSF which wears out, so I must be enjoying right hand bends too much.

I've been mulling over eagle F1s or PS3 a while now, digital tyre gauge reads 3.5mm in 3.2mm out so not long left with 400 mile journeys becoming the norm.

Going into roundabouts too fast is probably the biggest cause.

Just got mine back from 24k service. No advisory apart from nail in OSR that's unrepairable. Still got 5mm on both rears but looks like will be changing early.

Four years into Ownership I think we are all doing well, although I don't want to temp fate, doesn't look like there are any major problems that are costing people lots of money just standard running costs.
