Cam Belt...Again!
OK, I can't put it off any longer. I guess I should have done some better research when buying my Wind but I didn't - and therefore I missed the opportunity to get the dealer to replace the cam belt before I bought it. Anyhow, another 2 years have passed and the original belt is still hanging in there but I can't risk it any longer.
So, can anyone advise me of the going rate for the work on a 2011 1.2 GT line TCE? I've been quoted £432 inclusive from a local garage (in Nottingham/Derby) and I don't have any reason to believe this is an inflated cost but I'd like to check.
Many thanks

If you know the garage I think it is probably a good price. It is a few hours work even on the 1.2

Hi Kacey, I recently had the Cam belt and water pump changed on my Dynamique S 1.2 at a local garage for £380 including VAT. They quoted me for 3 hours labour, and so they charged me as such....but the job actually took them 5 hours...so your quote of £432 would certainly appear realistic and good value

When I bought my 1.2 wind I had cambelt water pump changed . Plus brake fluid spark plugs and engine fluid and oil change and air filter etc for just over 600.pounds at a French specialist garage in Swadlincote Derbyshire .I just wanted everything done for my own piece of mind .

Job done (by Beaconsfield Garage in Long Eaton, Nottingham). They gave me the original quote (following a service) and judging by the comments here, it was more than fair. I had the auxiliary belt replaced along with the timing belt and water pump and it all came to the grand total of £451.30. Not great with it being just before xmas but at least it's now done and dusted.
Thanks to all that commented.
