Hi guys....The circular Wind badge on the side of my recently purchased pride and joy has somehow become rather tatty prior to my purchasing it, with the top surface seemingly starting to peel away. I have seen the badges new on ebay for about £30, and they seem to have 3 locating pins on the rear...but it's not clear whether or not they are self adhesive as well. Has anybody replaced theirs?.. I'm understandably nervous about prising the badge off and damaging the surrounding paintwork...🤔

As you say: According to this advert it is held on by 3 lugs so gentle leverage would seem to be the only way with a sliver of cloth or tape between the paint & lever to prevent scratching. Would not expect lugs & adhesive to be used together.

At least you don't have to worry about breaking the lugs on the old one!

Hopefully someone has experience of this & can advise you further.

I have the new badges but haven't had the time to get them fitted. The plan was to take Blue Boy to the garage that did the ceramic coating. Will be interested to see how you get on

Just fitted two new ones to my car.
The Collection ones brand new are £90 a pair from Renault.
Yes they just prize off. There are three lugs with rubber grommets on to keep it a tight fit.
New ones just push back on. No adhesives!

Barbs. I skimmed through the messages and thought you’d paid £400 for new side badges. I know you love your Wind but there is a limit!!  lol!

Soz that was the coating lol. But if the badges cost £400 my Blue Boy would be worth it. I adore him and it has been great having a week of topless motoring.
