ECU remap fitted
Just had a remap done on both the Clio and the Wind noticable change to power and significant change to mpg on both cars, also had replacement coil packs on both cars.
Very happy with the results remap done by Top Gear - Powerflow.

Sounds excellent ! What power are you getting on the wind ?

Re: ECU remap fitted
Reasonably priced re-maps seem to be available for the 1.2 but getting any meaningful/usable power increases for the 1.6 would seem to be not economically viable for most owners.

Re: ECU remap fitted
The "map" is the software in your ECU which programmes how the engine runs. It adjusts things like fuel intake, ignition timing, etc depending on things like: load, how hard you depress the accelerator, temperature, etc to optimise performance in a wide variety of circumstances.
The "map" on a production car will always be a compromise between ultimate performance, fuel consumption, driveability, longevity, etc so a "remap" (reprogramming of the software) can alter the bias towards greater performance or greater economy etc without changing any mechanical bits.
As the 1.6 Renaultsport engine's "map" (programme) is already biased towards performance & high revs there is less scope to increase performance further by remapping whereas the 1.2 engine, in standard form, has more leeway for improvement.
Greater improvements in performance' particularly to the 1.6 would involve changes to mechanical stuff such as camshafts, exhaust etc & cost much more on a £s per BHP gain basis.
