1.2 ECU remap?
Has anybody had a 1.2 remapped by superchips or remap kings. If you did was it worth it, any problems and would you do it again?

Try asking on the Facebook club page as I’m sure I couple of the younger guys were talking on this subject a bit ago.
If no joy, try on the Twingo Facebook club page. Lots more members on there with it being a more common car and exactly the same engine at the Twingo GT.

Absolutely worth it.
Had it done 10 days ago. The car is night and day better. Better response everywhere and considerably more performance. Took 45 mins.

Thats great, which company did it? I guess to early to know if the mpg has suffered too badly.

Re: 1.2 ECU remap?
The website was REMAP KINGS. They had a discount for March. But when the guy arrived there was a lot of Superchips branding in evidence. Same company I expect, or a sub-contracting arrangement.
No idea on the mpg. As you say, too soon. Highly doubt it'll be much different unless you're flogging it, which admittedly is much more tempting than before. It'll take high gears at very low rpm and still pull cleanly, so if you drive like that I imagine the mpg will be good.
I'm taking it on a run at the weekend. Will try to remember to report back.

Any idea what your BHP figure is now?
The 1.6 tends to need to be flogged to get the best performance so your experience of good pull from low revs makes the chip sem a good mod.

They sugest on their web site 124bhp and 199 Nm How real that is I have no idea. Its dirt cheap extra power if acurate.

Re: 1.2 ECU remap?
I have no reason to doubt their output figures and I'm not putting it on a rolling road to find out. The car is fast enough now; whereas before it felt slightly over-geared and sluggish to me, now it has the right amount of pep for the chassis. Did 60 miles at the weekend, a mix of motorway, gentle A roads and some city driving; returned 45.7 MPG which seems absolutely remarkable but there it is. It was a gentle drive mind you.

Did you inform your car insurance of your modification, otherwise your insurance could be void if they find out, and what extra percentage cost did they ask for? Thanks.

Any chance of an update? Are you still happy with its, fuel usage roughly the same, still drives as you would like?
