Hello everyone,
My name is Clayton and I have been a proud Wind owner for just under a year.

I first saw a Wind parked up in Horsham about two and a half years ago and promised myself that when my trusty Smart Roadster went to the great car park in the sky I would get one. A year and a half later my dream was realised. I am now the proud owner of a 1.2 Collection.

I see another black one in or around Gatwick Airport (H Staff Car Park mostly) on the odd occasion but apart from that sightings locally have been sparse.

Below is a photo of mine just before I picked it up. It used to live in or around Bury apparently.

Anyway, I look forward to chatting

All the best

Clayton

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Now all you need to do is buy a ticket to Silverstone and show off your Wind. (Shame it's black, BLUE is better) Smile

Hi Clayton,

Smart Roadsters seems to be a common ‘also had’ car amongst Wind owners!

Welcome aboard.

We set out to search for a Wind to buy having never seen one in England.

We had only seen two before on our travels. one in Cannes & the other in Rapallo, & that was enough to tempt us.

It has to work for it's living having taken over from an MGTF160 as our European holiday tourer.

Forget the Smart you get a proper gearbox with the Wind & even when it's carrying a full set of golf clubs & a trolley or loads of holiday baggage the roof still goes down.

What more could you ask for?

ENJOY!!

Welcome. I too was eying up a Smart Roadster, but then I read about its common engine issues and was put off.

How does it compare to the Wind?
