Roof / Window Seal
A question re the seal between the top of the side windows & the roof/screen pillar. Part of this seal is fixed to the roof & the other part to the screen pillar.
It's something I noticed early on in my ownership but, for some reason or other, chose to ignore as there were no leaks
The seal on the drivers side is completely smooth but on the passenger side this seal is lumpy as if there are a number of poorly finished off welds or rivets underneath it all along it's length.
Has anyone else got a similar situation?
Any thoughts please?

Re: Roof / Window Seal
When I did my seals last autumn with some Armour-all silicone protectant, I didn't notice any particular changes, other than over the drivers side, there is a small amount of whitening that looked like dried wax polish, but it wouldn't come off. I'm hoping a regular application of protectant will reduce the risk of perishing.

Regarding this I noticed on both sides of my car where the side window meets the roof that the seals ‘splay’ out slightly when the glass reaches the top of the frame when it closes.
I will post some pics but should the seal be flush to the frame?
