Air conditioning Empty Air conditioning

Post by LukeC Fri 24 Jun 2016 - 17:40

Hi

I was speaking to a vehicle air conditioning specialist as I had an issue with another of my cars which is less than 2 years old; the air conditioning had packed in on it.

Apparently the systems are lubricated meaning they need running for around 5 minutes; approx every month otherwise the rubber seals dry out and crack causing untold problems; including compressor failure; thought id share this useful bit of information with you all.

Use it or lose it.

Also, if it does stop cooling, its worth getting the system inspected and pressure tested by a specialist, as its a sealed system so shouldn't need refilling unless its been holed or broken somewhere.

My dad doesn't charge me either. Smile

He popped around and topped up the aircon on our cars.

Doncaster is a long old way for an 82 year old to drive, but he'd be up for it. Laughing
