Hello and welcome. Best buy her one but get her Blue as they are best.....
I take it you were posting from a mobile. Forumotion did an update and it seems an issue. If you are on a computer there are a row of icons the last one will let you see what you are typing.

Ha! Barbs still under the impression that blue is best when everyone knows that red is not only best but rarest. But yes, buy your wife one too, they are rare, they're not making them anymore so get them while they're cheap (ish).Barbs wrote:Hello and welcome. Hi and welcome to the forum, you can see we love discussing who has the best Wind colour, but don't worry we are a friendly bunch here, and may be able to help with any Wind related queries (we hope)
As for the problem of seeing your typing, this happens on both home computer and all other devices, till you hit 'switch editor mode' icon and its sorted, just a weird function of this website.
Here is the icon.....

Re: hi wind owner new here
You should not restrict yourself to the collectors edition, as far as I am aware, there is very little difference of it to other Winds.... a collectors plate number in the cabin, some red plastic over the dash cowl, and a collectors badge on the side of the Wind.
You can search Ebay, Gumtree, auto trader, etc, and check distance to car, engine size, price and mieage and colour that you want.
Things to check: the Wind suffers from non robust front mechanics, so check front Shock absorbers, coils, wishbones, CV joints and CV covers.
Rear end does not get so abused but worth checking.
Also Alloy wheels due to sticking out design get bashed a lot off kerbs, so check them out.
Other than that both 1.6i and 1.2i engines seem robust enough, but most are coming up for a cambelt change at year six, costing at least £300 to change on 1.2i and likely dearer on the 1.6i. So check service history.

Or go for a Gordini they are numbered and I think carry all the extra apart from the Wind deflector. But you have to like the stripes

No, you have to love Malta Blue (which is a nice colour) or black. The stripes can be removed from the outside.

Has anyone got the wind deflector?
I only remember one member on the old website ever getting the elusive wind deflector, as it cost a fortune for what looked like a small napkin

There is a White Gordini with black stripes.
Think all the cars we will see next week are Gordini or Collection

Re: hi wind owner new here
hi thanks for the replies guys
some one selling there collectors edition stated this over non collectors edition "limited edition has heated leather seats, sports steering wheel, 17" alloys instead of 16", gloss black roof instead of matt black, chrome wing mirrors & boot cowls instead of same colour as rest of the car, red and black interior instead of just black, mp3 player with inbuilt bluetooth etc"
so think ill go for the extras why not if its true that is.
also ive tried all the auto trader parkers rac gumtree(thats where i got mine from) and all other sorts of sites, i saw a few around but expensive with 60000 + on the clock. i have my eye on one so far but hes waiting for his new car before selling it but hes been waiting for over a month now aaaggghh
cheers for what to look for on the wind i couldn't find anything like that so will come in usefull the next time i find a wind.
cheers all

Heated leather seats, sports steering wheel (I think) 17" alloy don't have the gloss black roof or the chrome mirrors or chrome cowls, I do have inbulilt USB and bluetooth. There were a lot pre registered that had the extra added just to get them on the market and sold. I have added after market parking sensors

Re: hi wind owner new here
There is a bit of a draft in between the seats reflected of the rear windcreen but to be honest it is a open top car and there is nothing nicer when stuck in traffic looking up at a clear blue sky. Now if you want a really rare one try and find the brown one...moggie007 wrote:cheers barbs for the info

Re: hi wind owner new here
i did experiment.... I bought a sun shield you know the type you put in the back of cars to protect kids. I slotted into the into the rim around the parcel shelf and it just fitted to the roof of the car it did have some affect the problem was the wind eventually unhooked it from the roof and it would start flapping around so gave up.colin565 wrote:NEW WIND DEFLECTOR...Just cannot see it making a difference
