Coil pack.
Get yourself a diagnostic tool. They're not expensive.

Nope. Usually easier to replace a coil pack than a spark plug.

Mine had an awful misfire and engine light coming on and off. New coil pack sorted it. Incidentally the garage had a Polo in with the same thing the same day.

Right some information while I remember
Air box held on by 4 T25 screws you'll need a 100mm thin handle screwdriver ; came out easy enough
Pipe to airbox needs removing there's to buttons as you will one on top,one on the bottom push these in and giggle free until they're past the edge of the box (edge of box holding it on) then giggle free
Coil pack is held on by 4 T30 bolts the left two are near impossible so you will need a bendi attachment from your ratchet the bottom right also has a metal coating under the plastic which causes it to rust to the engine block and bolt so be careful as this one is prone to sheering

Oh and theres a clip holding on the power supply you'll need to push this upwards and then pull the supply out

Refit in reverse order I replaced the bolts with Allen key bolts with socket heads on the coil pack to make it easier in future (copper greased of course)
Spark plugs were a simple enough job did them with a 8/14mm 250mm spark plug socket so they were an easy job 25nm torque

A quick image showing the rust

The new coil pack has a plastic coating all around where as this one had metal touching the bolt there was also no copper grease on them which I'd recommend applying before refitting
