Impulse buying a Wind
I have been the very proud owner of a Wind Dynamique S. I had a Ford Fiesta before this and was the car I learned to drive in. I have a Renault dealership just up the road from me that offers MOTs so I had been taking my Fiesta there as the service was great. So when my driver's side window wouldn't go back up on the school run, I decided to stop there to see if they could put it back on the runner, which they agreed to do straight away (they really are great there).
The desk for the garage is inside the showroom, so I was just looking at the cars in there with my son when the mechanic came in with the bad news. The window hadn't come off the runner, the door seal had gone, water had got in, and the regulator was shot. They sorted it so it would stay up and was secure but not being a Ford garage, they didn't want to guess at how much it would cost.
This is where my 8-year-old son decided to join in the conversation...
"Daddy, rather than getting your car fixed again, can you just buy this one?"
Well that was in November, and after a quick chat with the sales guy, the price and the financing was perfect, and I have not looked back since.
I am so happy with it, and my son reminds me all the time of how I should be thanking him every time I drive it because it was his idea to get it!
I am terrible at taking photos so here are a couple taken by the sales guy.

Welcome, your son has great taste. Shame he hadn't seen a Blue one first. Lol
Great car and you now have a new family. We have Facebook group in the UK and there are groups all over Europe.
And You thought you were just buying a car....

Excellent choice by your son. Especially it being a black one.
A Gordini too it looks like.
As Barbara says, don’t forget to check out The Renault Wind Owners Club Facebook page too. There’s almost 700 members.
Between that and the forum, we manage to sort most problems out between us.
