Roof driver error !!

Just in case anybody else does this....
Driving the other day..roof open in the sun...went to Tesco (other supermarkets are available to do this in )
Closed roof...or so I thought...and locked the car
On returning to the car, unlocked using the remote...doors opened..boot would not !!....opened doors and relocked scratching head.....unlocked again...doors open...boot would not......mild panic
As I was about to get in, the edge of the roof caught my eye, and I was sure that it looked slightly raised...looked at the locking handle....and realised that in my haste to buy a bottle or two of wine...I had failed to fully engage the roof locking mechanism.....DOH !!!!!!
Fully turned the handle...relocked and unlocked...guess what...boot now opens...YAY !! Lesson learned and passed on !!!

The thought of wine is a perfectly satisfactory excuse for a senior moment.

In fact wine can often be the cause!!!!

I'm finding that semi-retirement seems to bring on these senior moments !!
And increased wine consumtion !!

wait till your fully retired... it's great you never need to remember what day it is.
Except when it's bin day but I have neighbours so if their bin is out so is mine.

I am in the same situation as you, semi retired. I find the odd working day helps pay for the wine... 

Wine on the shopping list again!? 

Forgivable from the woman who; over the years; has "enjoyed" trips over the Alps in classic MGs & Triumphs plus other slightly newer eccentric forms of transport. I include the Wind in that category!

I still remember her calmness when I had to resort to cadence braking (no ABS!) on a damp road when a bend came up a bit quick.

Fully retired; since 2004: but now; thanks to COVID; nowhere to go.
