Springs, brakes and suspension
Took the Wind to the garage for a brake check (due to a bit of judder in the steering wheel). Turned out to be an expensive visit. I am now £1,310 lighter in the pocket.
Rear brake pads
Rear brake discs with hubs
Front brake discs
Front brake pads
0/s track rod end
Lower suspension arm dp
Lower suspension arm lh dp
Rear coil springs pair dp
Wheel alignment
i am guessing there is a weakness in the design somewhere. eg. we all seem to go through coil springs like they are going out of fashion.

Re: Springs, brakes and suspension
That's a hell of a lot of faulty items found all at once.
When did it last pass an MoT?
Lower front suspension arms are a "bete noir" for me as failure of just the rubber seal or ball joint requires the whole arm to be replaced. A serious design fault in my opinion.
Discs on the Wind are not brilliant re corrosion but I've changed pads & retained original discs. Although it has taken some miles for them to bed in properly the end result was good on the MoT brake test meter.
Coil springs: I'm lucky to still be on original springs at nearly 50000 mls considering the state of potholed roads in Kent.
Let's hope that's the last major assault on your wallet for a while & that you can continue to enjoy the car.

Thanks Pittstop, that is helpful to know. MOT is due next month.
I am reviewing the service history since 2011 to get a full picture. Will publish below...

Just wanted to add the table below. Hopefully useful for anybody wondering about their own reliability. Clearly I experienced some reliability issues between 2018/20. I trust my garage on the replacements cos most recently it was looked at by 2 outlets.

Could always scan or photograph paperwork & save as a file which could then be "hosted" on forum.
