How many Winds are there still on the road ?

I was pondering...I wonder how many Winds there are still running around worldwide ?
Anybody know how to find out ??....Did many make it outside europe I wonder...?

I know of 2 in Japan a Father and son that I am connected to on Twitter, lucky Twitter does a transtation.  I belive the Brown one ended up in America. The Fench are good at monitoring numbers will see if they have posted any further updates.

Thanks Barbs...thats really interesting info so far.....was there only ever one brown one ?...it would seem an unusual colour to produce

I recently saw the brown one on sale, I think in France but not sure. Didn’t look very well looked after inside. I was unsure when I first saw pictures of it, strange colour indeed.

FFound this one on Ebay a dark grey not a standard colour

I do like all the grey variants there are. Front of the car has always had a bit of an alien look to me so ‘grey’ suits it very well!

Wonder if the cobalt grey was a factory colour, respray or wrap ?

the factory grey is a pale grey so I think this is either a wrap or respray.

Think I might be following one or both of them on Instagram? I think there's a small little community of Wind owners in Japan, resulting in some lovely and spectacular photos of their cars in some wonderful places. I love Japanese car culture and am obsessed with Kei cars like the Beat and S660, as well as larger sports cars that Japan has produced. It's exciting to see that a car I own is considered desirable and unique in a country that makes cars I can only dream of owning. Nice to know there are a few around the world that appreciate the Wind instead of making silly jokes.

There's also a new instagram profile appeared this month, someone has recently purchased a black Wind on the Isle of Wight and is documenting a couple of little modifications they are making (debadging, some interior respraying so far)

https://instagram.com/k_matsuki?igshid=rk6x8ftgqfo6 and here's the Japanese gentleman I follow who has a Wind (theres other photos too, he's an excellent photographer who's subjects range from landscapes to his cats, family and agriculture.)

Also forgot to mention that in a road local to me, there's two Winds! A black one that belongs to someone who appears to also have at least a Jag, a Porsche 928 (or 944, I can never tell the difference) and two doors down from them is a blue one. So once I finally get mine back, there'll be at least three within a square mile radius

Thanks for posting the links. Nice to see what he’s done. I do think all black on a convertible that evidently has character and flare based on its shape alone is wrong but each to their own. Very nice either way.
