Low pressure Tyres !!
Does anyone else suffer from sudden loss of tyre pressure, up to yet on the rear tyres, fine for a few days then sudden goes low pumped up then fine for almost 2 weeks then again loss of pressure. I am convinced its due to potholes but would like to know others opinions?
Re: Low pressure Tyres !!
Certainly not experienced that & Kent has plenty of potholes.
Just a few thoughts for what they are worth:
Possible that if you have a nail self sealing in the tyre/s that a particularly bad pothole could temporarily break the seal resulting in pressure loss.
Probably need to have wheels removed & tyres pumped up extra hard & put in a water bath to highlight any slow leaks.
With recent temps fluctuating from 0c to 10c all ,my tyre pressures go up & down with the weather a few PSI.
Checking pressures just after a run reveals that front tyres do heat up more than rears raising their pressure in relation to rears.

Re: Low pressure Tyres !!
I would agree to some extent, but had to inflate 2nd rear tyre yesterday and one of the front looks low now. If it was a nail or something why would it be OK for up to 2 weeks then suddenly go down? My experiences of slow punctures is that you get a gradual deflation, speedĀ of which depends on how bad the puncture is. Truly perplexing. I am not against going for 4 new tyres but not if it doesn't resolve the issue.

Hmmmm....that does sound very odd...can you be 100% certain that some rascal isn't tampering with your tyre valves, possibly out of jealousy? ...Is your car parked on the street overnight or on your driveway?

Lol, I don't think so, car is parked on my drive overnight under a CCTV camera.
Re: Low pressure Tyres !!
I now recall that my daughter had a similar problem a few years ago with her front tyres & ended up having tyres removed, wheel rims cleaned up & tyres put back with plenty of sealant round the rims.
As she replaces her tyres in pairs one can only assume that the rims weren't cleaned properly when those tyres were fitted.
Were your rears replaced as a pair not too long ago?

Unfortunately I have only had the car since November last year, but what you say seems like a more likely explanation.
Re: Low pressure Tyres !!
Did you discover what was causing the problem?
