Rules of the forum Empty Rules of the forum

I'll hope to keep this brief.

I'd like to think that we won't need these rules and that we'll all get along nicely together but I'll have to make a few things clear.

Abuse of any sort will not be tolerated, users who use this forum to abuse or accuse other members will have their accounts deleted.

No bad language please, let's be grown up and be polite to one another.

No blatant advertising, if you have something to sell use ebay. Links to adverts will not be tolerated, posts including adverts or links to adverts will be deleted, accounts will be closed.

No adult material.

Please remember, what one person might consider at the time to be an 'amusing riposte' could later be read as being abusive or insulting. I am sure that no one person means their 'lighthearted' remarks to be taken too seriously, or taken to heart, but accidentally, they may be.

Please be careful how you phrase things, your humorous comment might be another person's worst insult.

If I could also ask you to remember that some members might have strongly held beliefs, these should be considered before posting, out of courtesy to them.

Minimal use of txt spk pls. That is too much already, not everyone understands it.

But lifting wholesale from another forum probably isn't the best idea.

Well. Speaking as someone who wrote some *very similar* rules to those,a few years back. I like the rules. Who's to argue that the original rules posted elsewhere don't need updating to reflect the *new* rules imposed?

As I wrote them, can't I give permission to use them?

Cool

You're right. They have worked well in the past.
