@knebby you probably have got the most used roof as you have the most miles, but at least we know they last.

I have had the same issues although the last 2 times the roof has gone down and back without a hitch. I did notice than on the occasions it didn't work the driver side window was coming down slower than the passenger side and stopped about 3 inches higher before the maintenance indcator started flashing. After following the reset process like I said worked the last 2 times.

Does the black plastic cover with the 3rd brake light, just remove with the 2 torx screws at each side ?
my roof is groaning a little when closing, that seems to be the only way to get at the hinge mechanism as far as I can see, ive tried spraying solicine grease in as far as I can get but not stopped it

When I was at the body shop they questioned me a lot over the removal
of it. From what they initially thought they expected it to be held on by more than two but I forgot to ask when I picked it up if that was the case.

My little bat mobile has returned home for a couple of weeks and now I seem to have a failure to launch.

Boot section only rises a couple of inches, then seeing the same message as others. If it is assisted, then it does rise and the main roof section flips, but I can't get it up without assistance.

First job will be to clean and regrease all the running gear, but it feels like the motor has lost its mojo. Anyone got any other little blue pills to return the roof mechanism to its previous pep?

Obviously lubricate all moving parts with silicone spray, but what’s your battery like? Has it not been driven for a while as lots of problems can occur when the battery is low on charge?🤔

A judicious amount of white lithium grease seems to have improved it and it now moves without assistance. Still got a bit of a lack of oomph to it, so good call on the battery, although been operating it with the engine running. Might pick up a spare motor as they seem to be reasonably priced with breakers.
