Boot closing opening problem

Have an issue with above.

Go to car and open doors with remote all good. Then go to open boot but won't open.

I then press key a few times and it opens and then close boot and it pops back open.

Do this a few times and it either pops open straightaway or after say 10 secs.

Eventually it will close but it unsure of what the issue is.

Hi renaults in general have an issue with the boot lock switch (the rubber switch you press on the boot to open it). It comes off quite easily and you could try to clean up the contacts but a new one is only about £15 and readily available on ebay or amazon etc. If you go into ebay and search for renault wind boot release switch you will see what they look like. The switch is the same for the wind, clio, modus and other models and is a straightforward swop.

How do u clean the contacts?

A bit of sandpaper will clean them. Water often gets into the switch and the contacts become corroded and pitted.

I'm having the boot switch replaced.
