Re: windows problem fixed
It could have just been tripped by a fuel glitch. If not, then the most probable causes are theO2 sensor in the exhaust, or the MAF being dirty.
Disconnect the battery for 5 minutes should clear the light. If it stays off, then your fine. If it comes back on, then you will have to get it investigated.

Hi Araf, Thanks for the reply, will check out what u suggested. got the car new from a Arnold clark dealership and they don't get a good reputation up here and hope I don't have to book it in for a diagnostic.

AN UPDATE ON THE CHECK EMMISION WARNING LIGHT..TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL GARAGE ( not Arnold clarke) its a 2 man business, plugged in the diognastic thingy and as arif mentioned it was the o2 sensor. But asked me to switch ignition on and of a few times still with the diagnostic plugged in and hey presto no warning light . said it could have been water ingress , said to give car a good run and if light comes back on he will manage to do the repair. will update in the next few days. ( no cost for the diagnostic )

This the 1.2 TCE or the 1.6 - I had it come on once in my old GT can come on if you push it a little to hard when cold.

Hi Folks, The check emissions light came back on..took car to local dealer to get the o2 sensor replaced, £95.00 for sensor. total bill for job £167. which I thought was very reasonable. seemingly its a bit of a pain to get access .
