Hi all, just had a great long weekend in and around Nice, flew down on Thursday, Cannes on Friday with the Film Festival on and the purpose of the visit, the Historic Monaco GP on the Saturday. Absolutely fantastic and highly recommended for anyone into old racing cars.  We saw the qualifying for a dozen or so categories for F1 cars from the 50s to 1980 plus parades for car types and from ex F1 drivers (Watson, Halkinen, Irvine and even Josh Hill driving the Lotis that his grandad Graham drove to victory in the 60s). We were in the grandstand at Tabac, looking directly at the mega yachts in the harbour opposite and within scarily vulnerable distance of the cars blasting past. And loud??!!! PARDON!!!

Cost? Free entry to the Friday free practice, €30 for Saturday qualifying, €50 for Sunday races or €60 for Saturday AND Sunday.

Bargain and a blast!!

Great to see - hopefully the Silverstone classic will be a similar experience, although without the F1 drivers.  Maybe a Grand Tour to Monaco in the future?
