Romantic motor
Hands up everyone who thinks the Wind is a romantic car - me - me.
I have always wanted a Corvette Stingray one of the 70’s ones before the American emmission laws killed them off.
Sadly my budget does not run to owning one - but I noticed the Winds rear window looks very similar - of course we don’t quite have as many horses under the bonnet - nor the flippy up headlights.
However close your eyes and you could be there !!
Summer’s coming - probably not quickly enough but when your parked up by the beach and getting admiring looks - its a great place to be.
I love the Wind and am very glad that I’ve bought a second one

Re: Romantic motor
I'll go along with the Yanks; when they used to say there is no substitute for Cubic Inches; having driven a 350cui (5700cc) Mustang.
Makes our 73 cui (1200cc) & 98cui (1600cc) engines look a bit puny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My only experience of flippy headlights was owning 3 Triumph TR7s! I had one that got out of sync with one light up & the other down each time I hit the switch!!
The Wind certainly gets the looks even in France as we found out last year.

Re: Romantic motor
I imagine cruising the coast roads of southern France, or Northern Spain, Matt Monroe on the radio.

Yes indeed - makes the world seem a blissful place and does wonders for the mind set.ElNumbre wrote:I imagine cruising the coast roads of southern France, or Northern Spain, Matt Monroe on the radio.

The Cornish Riviera isnt quite the same as the French version but can’t be a bad place to be in your Wind in the height of summer with the roof down and Matt et al blaring from the stereo.
At this time of year all we can do is dream but thats no bad thing either

Re: Romantic motor
Coast roads on the Med with: 2 seater roadster, top down, music, & good company.
Yes: Romantic does cover it!!
Going to try a different part of the Med this year: The Cote Vermille in French Catalonia.
A few years ago; in the MGTF; we got into some crazy fast moving multi lane traffic near Rome.
What CD did we select to keep us calm whilst all around us was Italian madness: MATT MONROE.
