Saw a Wind
Drove down in Cagnes sur Mer (near Nice) last week. As usual Wind did a good job averaging approx 40mpg.
Whilst there had a French bloke admit to never having heard of the Wind let alone seen one & got a similar enquiry from a young Eastern European guy on the shuttle back.
BUT I did see a Blue Wind in Cagnes.
It was a bit different.
Absolutely spotless.
Gordini stripes. (Maybe it was a genuine Gordini)
Front silver quadrants & spotlight surrounds done in white.
The twin exhaust mod. (Pity the second pipe is only a dummy)
Best of all the wheels: They were standard Wind wheels but where they are normally black they had been sprayed blue. Not the same blue as the car but a much more striking blue similar to MG Rover Trophy Blue.
It looked really good.
Saw it parked on the seafront not far from our apartment a couple of times but sadly no sign of the owner.
Could this be one of the French Winders known to members of this forum as the owner obviously looks cherishes it?

The Gordini's do have a deep blue to the wheels. Will post on the French forum and see if it is any of them.

Didn't realise the wheels were a standard feature.
Quite like the black stripes on the white car in your picture

That is the white Gordini, if it's a fake it won't have the "G" in the stripe.

Funny thing is... I might be wrong but I don't think they made a Red or Grey Gordini

I'm pretty sure they didn't do the white Gordini in the UK either, just the black and Gordini blue.
