Not something that I would currently entertain - like most hybrids, it's a sham.

As for the i3, a friend has one, and thinks its the best thing since sliced bread, but I can't see one redeeming feature in form or function.

When I first saw it, I thought it was a BMW concept car, but to my surprise I know now that the BMW i8 shown above is a part of their production car range, with a price tag of just under £105,000 here in the UK. Its an electric/petrol hybrid which accounts for a lot of the cost. Shame BMW don't offer a convertible model  Sad

At the weekend, I sat in a friend's BMW i3 and was pleasantly surprised. The car body is carbon fibre composite, which makes the car look chunky on the outside, but is spacious on the inside. At just under £30,000 in the UK, it is not a cheap option, but if you get the chance to go for a test drive, I think you would be impressed by its accelation. Alas, it does not come in a convertible variant as yet, so I will be keeping the  wind for a while longer.
