Heater fan rheostat
Good morning everyone, a bit of technical advice needed please. Our 1.2 Wind (2011) heater fan blower has stopped working, my mechanic believes it is the rheostat (fan only receiving 4V).
But he has no idea where it is located within the car!
If anyone has a photograph, sketch or drawing of its position in the car I would really appreciate your help.
Also any spec on the rheostat so that we can find a replacement useful.
Thankyou

Re: Heater fan rheostat
colin565Usually the cabin heater fan of a car is the hardest to access, along with the heater matrix. Not good news.
The usual reason for a heater fan acting up is the resistors that control the number of speeds on the fan burn out. There is usually a resister pack, that can be replaced.
I assume the winds controls the fan speeds this way, most cars do. Pity we have no elect diagram.
The other fault possible is the electric fan itself with worn brushes, requiring new brushes, or a replacement fan.
