Roof trim removal Empty Roof trim removal

Post by C664JON Wed 5 Apr 2023 - 16:50

Hi , hope this is in the right place,

can anyone enlighten me how to remove the white ( in my case) trim over the window which form part of the roof. Their is a bolt at the back which obviously need to come out, but any clues as to clips , double side tape would be appreciated, I’ve worked out it’s actually made of fibre glass, rather than plastic which was bit of a surprise.

Thanks

Yes it’s damaged, easy repair , but concerned it may do more damage taking it off, hence request for guidance advice on how to go about,

I will need to fire up my old workshop manual on my old computer to have a look and get some details (if the OP still needs the information). I removed the rubber from mine to clean the aluminium but I don't remember how the aluminium was fitted. I will try firing the computer up again at the weekend if it is still needed. Out at Clumber park and then afternoon tea tomorrow so a bit busy (hard life this retirement). Hope things are going well Barbs.

Would the workshop manual in the files at the top of the club page on Facebook have this information?🤔

I can only see owners manuals etc. and some other bits on there. The service manual is huge and covers most Renault models with breakdown of instructions and parts. Unfortunately I doubt anybody would be able to get it on the facebook page. Also you can't just run it on a laptop etc. You need to run an emulator programme to run the programme if that makes sense. It is a right faff.   Roof trim removal 1f615

Ah it’s the Renault Wind workshop manual that’s in the featured posts at the top of the Facebook club page. Don’t know if that would give any information on the problem?🤔
