Bowing out .... Empty Bowing out ....

Post by 'Old'SeaDog Thu 4 Aug 2022 - 12:11

Hi guys
Just a message to let you know that after much thought I've reluctantly parted company with my Wind.
It was a tough decision, but the combination of the many potholed roads here in Kent, the low profile tyres, hard suspension.. and my ever ageing bones, the lure of a good trade in and a more comfortable ride were difficult to resist.

Chosen a mini now.. convertible of course !!... which my wife finds easier to drive too, something that was always on my mind in case of an emergency and she had to take over whilst on a run, as the Wind was perhaps not the easiest for manoeuvring..

I wish the very best of luck for the future to all my virtual friends on the forum, and the guys on the Facebook pages, and would love to keep an eye on the chat if thats OK ?

You are very welcome to stay around. You may have sold the car but you will always be a Windster. X

Always best to stick around. It’s all about experience with the Wind and helping out other Wind owners.
Hope the Mini gives you as much joy as your Wind did ‘Old’Seadog!😊👍🏻

Thanks bigjase, sticking around sounds good

Hopefully the mini will be almost as much fun.. it's electric fabric roof isn't as impressive as the Winds was, but the ride is very much more "refined", and like the Wind it corners like it was on rails..
Doesn't put such a smile on my face as the Wind did, but hey ho, can't have everything!! 😊

Just been given a lift to collect my Wind collection from it's 12th straight MOT pass in a convertible John Cooper Works Mini. Both great in their own right. Which would I choose......?
