Stainless steel sports exhaust
Hi all
First time on the forum
I’m looking for a stainless steel sportier exhaust for my GT Line 133
I’ve been told , but unconfirmed by suppliers that the Twingo R/S aftermarket models are a direct fit ?
Anyone got any info to confirm or otherwise ?
Cheers
Scott

Hi Scott if you go to the top of the forum and in the search type Exhaust there are a few threads with details.

Re: Stainless steel sports exhaust
I had a custom made stainless cat back exhaust done by MIJ Exhausts in Wolverhampton. It was just over £300 fully fitted with a lifetime guarantee.

Re: Stainless steel sports exhaust
Hiya bigjase 1972 - thanks for getting back to me.
Since I posted my message I have discovered a local exhaust specialist that have quoted £200 for a back box delete system, or £250 for a back box included.
Both are stainless with a lifetime warranty - Company is Called Pipe Dynamics - they have really good reviews.
I am booking the car in over the next couple of weeks.
Did you go for a back box or resonator delete on yours ?
Cheers Scott

Re: Stainless steel sports exhaust
Hi Scott,
I went for a back box on mine.
Got to choose between 3 different ones for sound.
Went for middle option with a 4” tailpipe as I didn’t want it to daft for noise. It’s sounds just right, but with a bit of grunt when you put your foot down.
Keep us posted how you go on as we have quite a few on the club Facebook page asking about stainless exhaust options mate.

Thanks for getting back to me mate
Like you , I don’t want to go OTT with it so I suspect I’ll opt for something similar with the back box
I’m just looking a subtle modifications- have you done anything else with yours ?
I’ll post the info once I get the pipe done
Cheers

The only other thing I’ve done is fitted a BMC panel filter and removed the flap from the side of the air box that gives it a little more grunt when you put your foot down.
You can get the BMC filters on eBay for around £60ish.
The Twingo guys rave about them being the best.

Thats cool bigjase, Ive seen them on e bay - might give that a bash then .
Ive removed the airbox flap also, but cant honestly say I noticed much difference.
The only other mod Ive done is 30 mm lowering springs from Direnza - the profile of the car looks much better on them without being to harsh on the road .
Nice one mate
