LHD Lights
Hi there I am new to the forum and have moved to northern France taking my cherished white Wind Collection with me. Today I had my French MOT (controle technique) and failed as my headlights do not conform due to being a RHD car. Does anyone know if I can adjust the headlights? I am a little loathe to change them as they are in lovely condition (I don't think I can get away with the sticker deflectors) but I think the colour is also an issue . The same problem occurs with the fog lights, are these adjustable? If I have to buy new clusters are they a DIY job to replace? I feel that my Wind could be expensive to register here in France but really keen to hang on to it so if anyone can help I would be extremely grateful

Hello and welcome to the forum. I don't think you can adjust them as we did have a previous member that moved to France and had to replace them.

Thank you for your reply. I don't suppose the member is still on the site are they? I am having difficulty finding a supplier of Renault wind headlights here in France. You would think that as it is a French company it would be easy but non! I am currently looking at scrapyards.....

Hi there!
Are you a member of The Renault Wind Owners Club France on Facebook? They maybe able to give you some advice.
I don’t know if anyone has had the same experience on the UK Facebook club also?

You could ask on this site. How is your French?

Wow thanks Barbs you have gone to a lot of trouble and I'm sure I'll be able to get the lights sorted with all this info. My French is not great but there is always google translate. Was a bit gutted when I failed the CT yesterday but looking a bit more hopeful today. BTW I am originally from Barnsley, a fellow yorkshire lass !

Re: LHD Lights
Not surprised there was a problem with your headlights. Is it possible to just change bulbs rather than the whole light units?
Just a thought:
Did it fail on fog lights as well? I thought these pointed straight ahead in LHD & RHD cars.
If fog lights are a problem one possible cost free answer; in the short term; is to remove them as I doubt that they are mandatory as many cars; particularly low spec models; don't have them.

Condensation on inside of roof
Hi all,
When I got in my Wind today I noticed that my front window and inside of roof were both condensated. Never happened before not sure why this would happen. Has anyone else had this problem?

I must admit to never having had a condensation problem on the inside of the roof...but I have found that damp footwell mats after I've got in with wet shoes on rainy days does cause window misting overnight
