When I bought my 1.6 GT Line it had original spec Conti Sport 205/40/17inch tyres on it.

I found them to be noisy & give a harsh ride.

When a change was required my top priorities were a high grip rating & a low noise rating.

I was not over concerned re the economy rating.

Eventually I got a set of Avon ZZ5 tyres which have proved to be less crashy & noisy & also have a top grip rating for safety

Another bonus was that they only cost £73.50 each from Black Circles in March 19.

10000 miles later I'm still happy with them.

Lovely, thanks for the responses. I’m looking at Michelin Pilot Sport 4’s.

I see that the latest Avon offering (ZV7) for my Wind is priced at £70 each all inclusive whereas the Michelin Sport Pilot 3 is £122.
