Access Problem
For some weeks now if I use my access shortcut to login to the the Wind Forum I've been getting a malicious web site warning.
This shortcut used the address: https://renaultwind.forumotion.co.uk/
Having no access to the forum I tried to find another way; such as e-mail; to contact forum admin to no avail.
In desperation I sent the following mail to Wind Club France; which I assume Barbs has contact with; which does show a contact e-mail on it's site:
Hi,
I am a member of the Wind Forum UK.
I believe that you have contact with Barbs from the UK Forum & would be grateful if you would forward this message to her for me.
I can find no other way to contact her: as I cannot access the forum at present.
My Wind Forum name is pittstop.
I am trying to contact Barbs to tell her that every time I login into the UK forum I get the home page followed by a warning message from my virus guard that I've encountered a malicious web site.
The message reads: Malicious Site Blocked! You attempted to access discovernative.com. This webpage is a known malicious webpage. It is highly recommended that you do NOT visit this page.
Visit Norton to learn more about phishing and internet security.
Wondered if she was aware of this problem & could advise me how to get round it.
Merci,
pittstop
This received no response.
Today I finally found a way round by adding "login" to the address used by my shortcut: https://renaultwind.forumotion.co.uk/login & I've been able to gain access OK.
Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Re: Access Problem
Hi,
Same device as usual; my desktop PC.
Interestingly when I got the e-mail from the forum a few minutes ago; re Topic Reply Notification I clicked on the link & got the malicious site warning!
Looks like I'll have to make a point of using my updated shortcut every time I try to make contact.
Don't know why my Norton Virus Guard is doing this.
I've got no idea who or what discovernative.com is & don't intend to delve into it just in case there is malware there.

So is this just a strategy to entice stragglers away from the Forum to Facebook?bigjase1972 wrote:Join us on the Facebook club page Pittstop. Not heard of anyone having any problems on there! Everyone is welcome who loves the Wind!

Re: Access Problem
Hi experimented today using my original URL & all seems to be well now.
Who knows what was going on? Maybe their security update cured the situation. Did they do it recently?
Interestingly I've just used the acronym URL for a web address but also realised I didn't know what it stood for.
Uniform Resource Locator.
You learn something every day!
Thanks for support.

18th may they did some changes to the HTML security in posts but it shouldn't have affected logging on.
I got a message from the French forum yesterday saying that you had an issue.
