Renault Wind Owners Club UK
Quite a bit going on on the new Facebook Owners page now! Plenty of pictures, technical and all round advice being exchanged by new members.
Would love to see more members of the forum over there on Facebook too!
Come and have a look!

Probably an age thing but wary of social media so not on Facebook etc.
Will a Facebook page draw forum members away from the forum & dilute the input?
Who knows?
Far from me to stand in the way of progress.
The Wind is a great car; with a wide range of ownership from old boys like me to young tech savvy people; which deserves a following whatever the medium..

Re: Renault Wind Owners Club UK
Hi there Pitstop! I was hoping they would work well together.
I’m not trying to take people away from this forum at all. I’m just trying to bring Wind Owners closer together and feel that the Facebook page is a little more user friendly for following different chosen subjects and people just commenting and putting pictures in when they feel like it.
Before I got my Wind, I had a Renault Twingo and found the Facebook Twingo Owners Club works really well helping people out.
It seems a little more accessible, where people were commenting on other people’s problems when they are still at the side of the road broken down!
As you can see, I do take an interest in both!

Please don't worry, this site will remain. Anything posted on the Facebook group will be posted here. We are trying to reach out to Wind owners.pittstop wrote:Probably an age thing but wary of social media so not on Facebook etc.

Re: Renault Wind Owners Club UK
I can see the benefit of using Facebook to find more of the Wind owners out there. I think the stats on another thread on this forum show there are more Winds on the road than are official forum members.
Facebook is not something I’d use, so I’m ok if someone else wants to lead the way there.

No problem DarrenJ. As I said, we are just trying to get more Renault Wind Owners together helping other owners out and showing interest in our rare cars!
We have already had two new members of The Renault Wind Owners Club UK Facebook page pick their new Winds up in the last week, so the page is definitely doing the job!

Great stuff Pittstop! Yes, Barbs and I had a lengthy conversation about the history of the forum before I even set up The Renault Wind Owners Club UK Facebook page and we both agreed it would be a great addition to the forum to get Wind owners closer together!
