Trim Question Empty Trim Question

Post by Bullyboy Fri 22 Jul 2016 - 22:26

Have been looking at autotrader purely to see what's still around or how they sell over the summer and to just see how pricing fluctuates.

Anyway some GT line models don't seem to have the leather door handle pulls.  Just wondered if this was an extra ?  Seems a bit weird that some have and some don't ?  Was there lots of little custom options for the wind ?

Interested. Let me know. Thanks guys

I have GT line 1.6i and do not have the door pulls, always thought they look naff anyway, like an afterthought.

Same goes for the external door latch hidden in that niche. Mine is all paint scored now by my fingernails when opening.

Years ago my Renault 5 had the same 'door latch hidden in niche' design as the Wind, but Renault at the time sold as an extra stick-on stainless steel backing plates to prevent scratching, and they worked.

My Collection comes with the door pulls, and meh. I think I use the normal door pulls rather than the strap as its in the wrong ergonomic position.

The door pulls were originally part of the leather package, so if you had leather seats, you had door pulls.

I've never missed them.

Araf thanks.   That makes sense.  So full leather equals door pulls.

Thanks to others for the answers

Dynamique?  That was an old trim level.  The Dynamique was low end, with 16" wheels, the Dynamique S was higher with 17" wheels, and the Collection was top of the range.

They were replaced by the GT Line (basically a Dynamique S) and Gordini to replace the Collection.

Both the collection and Gordini were limited runs.  Collection was exclusive to the UK, but the Gordini was Europe/Worldwide.  Other countries had other limited run models.

No, they've been painted. The 16" Dynamique wheels were silver and the 17" wheels on the rest were black and diamond cut.  Any nick in the lacquer and water would make the diamond cut look horrible, so one colour painting is the usual solution.

Thanks.  You see them on a few but not many.  Cheers
