Wind deflector
Hi everyone. Does anyone know how to get hold of the wind deflector that sits between the seats. I heard that they were a prototype only but may be wrong.

Re: Wind deflector
Only a few original wind deflectors were made and sold as they were quite expensive. A company in Germany were making duplicate versions recently and selling on ebay, but have gone now, though the original one and the german one may come up secondhand on ebay occasionally. Here is what the original looks like. Some say it does not make that much of a difference. I do not have one. Does not bother me.
Other companies make wind deflectors for the wind, but of a different design, here is one company from the Netherlands, shown on another Renault wind website....Hope that helps.

This was a company making them in the UK. Not sure if they are still available.

Re: Wind deflector
I received and fitted the wind deflector. Looks nice though you have to use a rare M7 (not spanner head but the thread size) bolt or Set to go into the holes the black plastic bungs leave. The company say M10) You also need to put 2 or 3 nylon washers on the inside (between the carpet and the deflector) and if possible a rubber grommet through the holes on the deflector itself and a further nylon washer on the outside. This all acts as a spacer to prevent the deflector from rubbing on the closed roof and the grommet stops the bolt rubbing on the inside of the holes in the deflector. The noise is a horrible squeaking. This took some working out which was a bit annoying to be honest. Anyway, the deflector definitely lessens the amount of wind turbulence around the neck.
