New Ownership
Just found out that the dealer where I traded in my Wind has sold it to someone who came all the way up to Kent from Falmouth; I've got no more detail that that; to buy it.
Perhaps he/she will join the forum so if you get a new member from that area it could be AA61JAN.
Let's hope they get as much pleasure from it as I did.
The 54 plate SLK 350 Auto which I bought continues to live up to expectations.
I've left the auto in comfort mode as an engine with 270 bhp & a flat torque curve starting at 2500 rpm doesn't really need to be revved to still out perform the majority of cars.
Best wishes to all winders.

Re: New Ownership
Hi Sea Dog,
It was initially advertised at £4250; quite a high price for a Wind; although I don't know if that was achieved.
ADG Sevenoaks; the dealer; had quite a range of "interesting" cars in their showroom; when I was there; from Aston Martin Porsche & Bristol through to more prosaic machines.
Let's hope the new owner gets as much pleasure from it as we did.

Re: New Ownership
Probably the high asking price was related to being kept in great condition by the previous owner Pittstoppittstop wrote:Hi Sea Dog,

Do you still get pangs of jealousy when you see a Wind on the road or parked up ?..you must have some good memories of your road trips in yours

Re: New Ownership
Excellent memories of all the European trips & it's perfect reliability during such long runs.
The need for an auto was what forced me to change. If there had been a Wind auto I'd have gone for one!
Having bitten the bullet I had to decide on a boring auto or a more "geriatric hooligan" option.
The 2004 SLK 350 & 1947 old geezer both fit the latter description!!
