AA = Absolutely Awful
Bought a battery from the AA. Cost me 120. Guy comes out, fits it and all of a sudden when I go over bumps or potholes the power goes, I get a power steering fault, almost have an accident on a corner and then car comes back to life.
After going completely crazy with them someone comes out, and it turns out that one of the bolts for the battery hasn’t been tightened properly so when I was going over bumps or potholes the connection was momentarily lost.
Needless to say the whole experience was shocking and if I ever break down I’ll be choosing to push the car back.

What was your ECU making of this chaos? No lasting problems I hope.
In another thread I speculated regarding the origin of my personalised (to the previous owner) plate starting AA.
I suggested Automobile Association as the kinder option to Alcoholics Anonymous.
Perhaps we need to reverse that order after your experience.

I had the car checked and the only faults I had were battery related. I was more shocked at the schoolboy error.
