Hi,
Had my lovely Wind for 2 years. Followed you all from afar and thought today is the day I join you all, thanks for accepting me into the forum. Quick background, saw a Wind in a showroom near me, not seen one before, went home looked on line and from then on started to search eventually tracking the one for me, after viewing several, in Shiptonhorpe near York. Absolutely love her, will be together until one of us gasps our last. Look forward to perhaps meeting some of you in the future. Must say seen several Winds around North Lincs/Yorkshire area, generally blue like mine but couple of black and last week one white one, lady driver, on Clive Sullivan heading into Hull.

Welcome Ann, I too am a new Wind owner .....4 days now, and loving every minute. Mines black and a Dynamique S...think that your blue one will not show the dirt quite as much as mine😕. I couldn't find a blue one locally here in Kent, but my wife had a blue GT line back in 2011, until she traded it in for a Peugeot 108 with a fabric roof...not the same at all..🤔

Can't imagine ever parting with mine but my husband does not share my enthusiasm although appreciates it for being a bit quirky.
I find people either like it or hate it generally, very much either or ........BUT not everyone is blessed with our exceptional good taste

Welcome aboard.

Bought my Wind in 2015 when it had only done 5300 mls from new in 2011.

Now it has 42000 miles on the clock being: a daily driver; the carrier of a full set of golf clubs (Including an electric trolley!); as well as our transport for UK & long distance European holidays.

I know some Winds are much pampered but; believe me; they are also very good at earning their keep.

So: Get out there & put it to good use.

The map can be viewed by going to the 'meets and events' page, then the 'wheres your wind' topic and the link is at the top of page 2.
Does any know how to create a sticky per chance?

Hi everyone...just wondered...all the Winds that I have seen around have been Blue or Black, anc the occasional Gordini. Do any forum members own the elusive White or Red models?...were fewer of these produced?

We have one Red, Knebby and one of our new members has a White. We did have a White in the NE but he defected to the MX5 party. We used to have another Red but he defected to RCZ but then changed to a Spyder but at least he then got the right colour.... BLUE.☺

Mkstevo tells me that somewhere on this forum there is an actual list of how many were sold and in what colour... not many were red, around 6 we believe....

'Old'SeaDog, I have a white. It's a 1.6 collection, number 092.

I originally wanted a black one, but so glad I have a white one. Now I have it IMHO it's the best colour.

In fact I was previously of the opinion that:
I would never buy a renault (after a friend had never ending wheel bearing problems with two MK2 Megans bought from new)
I would never have a white car (show the dirt too much, I'm not much of a car cleaner)
I would never have a convertible (impracticle, cold in winter etc).

Then I saw a Wind at a car supermarket, couldn't get it off my mind, and bought one after looking at them online for 6 months.

Done over 30k miles in 2 years in the Wind without any major issues, daily comuting accross the Peak District. It's just been semi retired into a 'sunny days and weekends' car. I've now bought a black Mk3 Renault Megane Sport Tourer for daily use. I did need something more practicle on occasion, and the diesel engine is much more economical to help offset the cost of running 2 cars. However the seats are not as comfortable as the Wind, they are quite hard in comparison.

Hi Bandit197...great to know that you have such a rare car amongst already rare cars. Mine is a black Dynamique S, and when I was looking around I couldn't fine a white or red anywhere. I imagine that your white collection model looks amazing. Nice one 👍
