Current Registrations
Nosing through stats on Gov web site where there are lots of Excel Files relating to UK vehicle registrations.
https://www.gov.uk/government/statistical-data-sets/all-vehicles-veh01
As at late 2017 this was the breakdown of the 2225 road registered Winds. There are also 35 which are SORNED.
RENAULT WIND ROADSTER COLEC-N TCE 93
RENAULT WIND ROADSTER COLEC-N VVT 89
RENAULT WIND ROADSTER D-QUE S TCE 374
RENAULT WIND ROADSTER D-QUE S VVT 260
RENAULT WIND ROADSTER DY-QUE TCE 213
RENAULT WIND ROADSTER DY-QUE VVT 4
RENAULT WIND ROADSTER DYNAMIQUE S VVT 5
RENAULT WIND ROADSTER DYNAMIQUE VVT 35
RENAULT WIND ROADSTER GORDINI 52
RENAULT WIND ROADSTER GT LINE TCE 766
RENAULT WIND ROADSTER GT LINE VT 334
Of these 2225 Winds half of original buyers seem to have spent their cash on the high spec GT Line.
Overall 31% are 1.6 against 69% 1.2.
Certainly highlights their exclusivity.

Re: Current Registrations
Interesting information
I have a GT line it was heavily discounted as the Garage had previously registered it. And seeing the prices some are going for my depreciation is not bad for 6 years 8 months ownership. Blue Boy was registered in March and I bought in July. Best money ever spent.....

Only 52 Gordinis? I thought it was a ‘limited’ run of 200. It did come late in Wind production when they weren’t selling though.

Love that data! I had no idea the numbers were so high or the various models in circulation. That partly explains why I see so many here in the North East.

Interesting that you see many in the NE as they seem to be few & far between here in Kent.
Before I thought about buying one I had never seen one here & only ever seen two on holiday; one in France & another in Italy; so they must have made an impression.
Since I bought it another Blue one has appeared in the Medway Towns which must sometimes confuse its owner as my next door neighbour will insist on waving at it before checking it's reg plate!
Pity DVLA doesn't do a geographical breakdown.

I'm in the North East and I don't see many other Winds. I do see my mate Geoff's (Sandancer) regularly but other sightings are few and far between.Huw (Barry The Renault) wrote:Love that data!
