mot failures
The few days i have been looking at the history of many wind models from members here and winds on sale online and have noted the most common mot failure problems our cars seem to get in order worse downwards.
1.Not really a surprise to many I am sure is the coil springs they seem to have a real tendency to break and corrode quite often sadly.Maybe if we got more stronger thicker more expensive coils they would last longer and pay for themselves in the long run?
2.The front track rod end + ball joint is next on the list.
3.Lower suspension arms ball joints.
4.Anti roll bar pin or bush brings up the list.
Discs and brake pads plus tyres do not really feature much in the test failures 1 have looked at in mot tests since 2013 to present time .

Re: mot failures
I did do a in-depth study of the results but thought I had lost the results but found them again
So from a total of 53 winds on sale or members reg plates mot history.
Updated things to look out before mot tests.
1.Coil springs total number failing mot =92
2.Track rod end + Ball joint =75
3.Suspension lower arms =34
4.Anti Roll bar pin or bush =7 not as many as I thought before.
from 2010 until present time.
I guess really you could say that the track rod ends fail more because there are only 2 a car rather than 4 coils
