New Mk 8 Golf Empty New Mk 8 Golf

Post by renton beersworth Fri 29 Oct 2021 - 19:52

Recently traded in my 67 plate Golf Mk 7.5 for a new Mk 8. Just finished running in (500 miles).  Loving the car and have re-educated myself on the new electronic
controls.  The Golf has rightly been a very successful car for VW over the years but , in common with most manufacturers VW is heavily promoting electric and hybrid cars.
I suspect the Mk 8 Golf will be the last of its kind, if thats the case I will keep and enjoy for as long as I can.

On another matter  COP 26, Glasgow.

Just a heads up for any members considering a visit to Glasgow in the next 2 weeks.  DON'T DO IT.
Roads closed, diversions, protestors and disruption will make the " dear green place "  (literal translation of its name in gaelic) a nightmare, You have been warned.

No way would I contemplate going anywhere near all the people flying in for this Event. What is it about cutting down carbon omissions so they all fly in....

But thanks for the heads up @renton beersworth
