Has to be the roof opening mechanism that sold the car to me. The boot space always makes me laugh when people see me coming back to the car with a full trolley, they stop look and you can see them think that is not going to fit then it does and you can still take the roof off.

Downside.... The alloys so easily damaged but I love the look of them so I have learnt... Mirror mirror mirror.

I liked the fact that I bought a fully toyed up new (pre-registered) car for the price of a year old basic Fiesta.

For the past two years, I've been trying to find something else as cheap, but with the same level of equipment.

Likes: Looks good, drives really nicely, was an absolute BARGAIN!, has heated seats (which I didn't realise when I bought the car but was very nice over winter), very rare car so you dont see a bunch of them all over place.

Dislikes: The fact that it is called "wind" (luckily as I have a gordini I didn't have to de-badge), has a bit of a reputation as a "hairdressers car" by people who don't know about cars, a bit too much road noise but nothing too bad, an absolute pain in the arse to find bits/mods/aftermarket parts for as it is a bit of a mish-mash of other renault bits.

Overall thrilled with the car and pleased I didn't stump up the extra few grand for a similarly spec-ed MX-5 as although it isn't quite as nice to drive (very marginal in my opinion) pound-for-pound it is much better value... plus I don't have to drive past another one every 5 minutes and feel like I am just fitting in!

I managed to quieten mine down a bit, by putting a roof lining in.

That wasn't enough, so I added an extra layer....

Seen that and it does look good. In fact when I'm down in Kent you might need to practise it again just to make sure you got it right Very Happy

Thats a great idea, you've made a good job of it too.

I might just have to rip that idea off you... I'm thinking 1st layer something nice and spongy to absorb sound and an outer layer of leather, grey with white stitching and maybe white stripes to match the steering wheel and seats?

I'll start a thread in tech, so we don't take this one off subject any more.
