Hi All
I have just bought a Black 1.6 Wind which will be picked up tomorrow looking forward to being part of the forum. Taking the car for a good run along the coast to Worthing for the weekend cannot wait!
Regards
Rich

Hello and welcome. You have bought an amazing car.
I recently bought mine on the 8/10/18 its a Blue 1.2 TCE GT Line love her to bits.
I almost bought a Black 1.6 Wind in a car auction in Wales but was outbid it was sold for £2600.
I will post some pictures as soon as I can work out how to load them up onto the forum

Re: Hello from Rich
I done exactly the same the following day I T-cut the whole car and applied a couple of coats of turtle max. I am loving the car keep saying to the wife just got to nip to the shop for some milk any excuse to go for a quick spin. had the roof down today a little cold but loved every minute of it. look forward to see the photos.

Re: Hello from Rich
Forget a trip to the shops!! Make it work for it's living!!
We're not long back from a trip to the Alps; via France, Germany, Austria, & Italy; taking in the Stelvio, Grosglockner & Brenner passes.
Also went to the Med; Collioure on the Cote Vermillion; in it earlier in the year. Anyone looking for e really good; but lesser known; resort on the Med try Collioure we loved it.
It may be a small car but it does the long hot Autoroute runs with ease with it's Auto Aircon & reasonable turn of speed.
Then; when you get there; get the roof down & do some twists & turns & scenery!
Ours is a 1.6 but I'm sure a 1.2 would have no problem at all on such a trip. In fact the 1.2 has a higher top gear to make Autoroute runs more relaxed.
We enjoy the Wind; but we are not dedicated polishers; it has to work for it's living & copes with this treatment well.

Re: Hello from Rich
Hi, this is not that easy and isn't like checking the engine oil. To check the gearbox level you have to remove the oil filler plug on the gearbox - if some oil drips out the box is at the right level and if not it should be topped up until it does drip back out. The filler plug is on the side of the gearbox and while it is straightforward to do, the difficulty is access underneath the car. It is best if the car is up on a lift or up on 4 axle stands so that it is level.

Hi and many thanks. Mistydogblues. I will check it on Sunday if we have some nice weather. Will get the gearbox oil from Halfords on Saturday just in case I need to top it up.

Re: Hello from Rich
Are you having bother with your gears? The gearbox is sealed and nornally doesn't loose much oil unless these a leak from the driveshaft seal.

Well chosen!
Welcome!
Mine is a Night&Day and I really love it. We are in Germany. My nephew recently has spoiled himself with a Mercedes-Benz SL (leasing rate more than some people earn for a living) and when I saw it the first thought that shot in my mind was: My Wind is more beautiful than this expensive car! And I mean it.
(Of course I did not force my truth upon him, but id anyone would really ask I would not deny it)
Enjoy!

Re: Hello from Rich
Thank you! I found it! Not sure if possible at that date. Will be a short-time decision. That is possible because I cannot drink Alcohol so I could drive home and sleep in my own bed.. So yes, perhaps we will meet there!
