Tappet noise

Hi all, had my cam belt and water pump replaced last
Week and in the few days since I’m sure I can hear more tappet noise/ piston slap. Is this normal? I’m sure there wasn’t any before but I wonder if it was there all along ? I have the 1.2T- what is everyone else’s experience ?

Can't comment directly as have a 1.6 but I can think of no logical reason why you should experience increased mechanical noise levels after a properly done cam belt change. Did you have tensioner done as well?
Suggest you take it back & raise the issue with the garage.
